The following companies and organizations were instrumental in helping bring this years Connecticut SWAT Challenge to fruition.  They have generously donated their resources, personnel and facilities in order to support our event.  We offer our deepest thanks to all of them for their selfless contributions.  Without their help we would not be able to provide the best SWAT training event in the Northeast.  Many Special thanks to...

  • WEST HARTFORD POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION- Donated all of the gorgeous trophies and plaques that were given to the event winners.  This is the 3rd straight year the WHPOA has provided these donations.  We thank the general membership of the WHPOA for their generosity in supporting our brothers and sisters in blue!

WEST HARTFORD FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE LODGE #27 AND THE STATE FOP- They stepped up and provided, as well as cooked, food for the participants which numbered about 1500 lunch servings FREE OF CHARGE for competitors, sponsors and vendors

CT STATE POLICE FIRING RANGE- The CSP range was again used to host a variety of shooting events. Their staff was top notch as well and the smooth operation of this competition was due in no small part to their assistance. Thanks!

  • WESTHILL AUTO- WestHill graciously transported large equipment to and from a number of locations and without their help the best tactical event of its kind, the Bus Assault, would not have been possible

  • RILEYS LUMBER- Many of the most trying obstacles were made with lumber provided by Riley’s as were a number of other important structures.  They also donated their facility for the fabrication of these structures

  •

MDC- For the 3rd year, MDC allowed the CSC to host the PT Challenge at their reservoir site on Farmington Avenue

HARTFORD GUN CLUB- HGC allowed us to use many of their steel targets and equipment for our shooting events

  •

  • RNC WEB DESIGNS- countless hours of FREE donated web design as well as video and photo taking at the event.  Responsible for the final event DVD that is given free of charge to all teams

SIMSBURY RADIO CONTROL CLUB- We were fortunate and thankful to the Simsbury RCC as they allowed us to make the  most important change needed, which was a centralized venue. Their beautiful grounds were the HQ for our event and we are indebted to their support and generosity!

METACON GUN CLUB- For the 3rd year, Metacon donated their range and range house for our firearms events. Their ongoing support of law enforcement was in full view as they again came through for us in this years Challenge.

59ERS CAFE-  We are thankful for the desserts that 59ers provided for the hungry SWAT Officers at the awards ceremony.  Jason and Jim's help and support were greatly appreciated!

CT STATE POLICE UNION-  We are thankful for the monetary support the CSP Union provided for food and supplies again for the 2nd year in a row!  We thank the CSP membership for their help

COUNTRY DINER-  Top notch food provided at the Awards Ceremony.  Not only was the food and service exceptional, but there was enough for a small army.  Tremendous job particularly considering there were 400 hungry SWAT Operators!

The sponsors and vendors who came to the 2007 Connecticut SWAT Challenge truly made this event better.  These law enforcement companies took the time and effort to come to this event and bring their products as well as their expertise in Police and SWAT related equipment.  Our WHPD SWAT team has seen the benefit of these sponsors and vendors firsthand at the World SWAT Challenge.  We took the time to meet and speak to these vendors who were generous enough to T&E some new SWAT technology that we would have never seen without such a venue.  We now employ some of this “latest” technology as a direct result of meeting the sponsors and vendors who come to such an event.  At the CSC, we had a variety of companies that spanned the spectrum of SWAT and Police related equipment and goods.  SWAT Teams, their operators, their Chiefs and administrators, as well as their purchase personnel, were able to examine and handle the tools that these vendors and sponsors brought.  Additionally, we got to mingle and meet the representatives of these companies,  many for the first time.  But these sponsors and vendors were not simply content with showing their wares and speaking to the Police Officers who came to the event.  These sponsors and vendors stepped up in a huge manner and donated a bevy of prizes and goods to the participating teams and Officers.   NEARLY $80,000 of SWAT and Police equipment was donated to our competitors FREE by our generous sponsors and vendors.  The one comment from a SWAT operator that summed the sponsors and vendors efforts up best was:

I can’t believe how much stuff they donated and gave away.  It was unreal.  It seemed like it was never going to end.  I am just amazed at the vendors and sponsors”.

Our goal at the CSC is not to bring in the most vendors, or the biggest vendors, but rather to bring in the best vendors so the SWAT Teams at the CSC can equip themselves with the best equipment to protect the public. In turn, we promise to treat our sponsors and vendors like gold.  We are constantly getting feedback from our vendors and then improving on our approaches to make our vendor venue the best in the country.  Our pledge is that we will make the event not only better for the participants every year, but better for the sponsors and vendors.  It is with this in mind that we head towards the 2008 Connecticut SWAT Challenge.  We are supremely confident that the sponsors and vendors who have supported our event, will see a great improvement in a number of aspects.  We look forward to your continued support, and again thank you.

                           We’ll see you in 2008!
